Bill Weinstein Steps Down as Verve CEO Amid Company Shake-ups

 

In a surprising turn of events, Bill Weinstein announced his departure from Verve, the renowned entertainment agency, as its CEO. Weinstein founded the literary agency with Bryan Besser and Adam Levine in 2010. He was in his leadership post since January 2023.

 

“We appreciate Bill for his role as a co-founder as well as for his 14 years of service and wish him nothing but success in his future,” Verve leadership stated on Monday.

 

No reason has beenstated by the company so far, although the decision “was made after thoughtful deliberation by Verve’s leadership and approved by Verve’s board and owners,” as per the email announcing the ouster. Few sources have also stated the move could be financial; the agency, with a strong focus on the literary, was hit reallyhard during the strikes which was last year. That, coupled with a contraction in television, is right now hitting many companies and the agency may be no exception.

Weinstein was appointed CEO in the month of January 2023. He was a founding partner with Bryan Besser and Adam Levine. The trio left WME after Endeavor acquired it and launched their own shop in 2010.The board of directors at Verve has moved swiftly to appoint an interim CEO while the search for Weinstein’s successor begins.
