His onstage performance at apple Music Super Bowl during halftime show on 11th Feb, 2024 stole the show & probably everyone’s heart. It was like entire world was waiting for it & let me remind you, it was not just about the songs but also what special guest will be joining him in that event.
A fierce showdown I would call it between Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers (Super Bowl LVIII) however that was not all.
Let’s talk about the star of the night. An undisputed king of one who stole the show with his unparalleled performance. Usher, this name here needs no introduction. Artist here is 45 years old releasing his 9th Studio album.” i.e., Coming home. Vouge was already promised, R&B would “take the main stage”. TMZ even reported that two were in talks for a special tag teammoment during the big game.
The singer, who almost finished selling-out 100-show Las Vegas residency (which was so popular, it got extended twice), put on a flashy performance of epic proportions that included a few surprises, including Usher dancing on roller skates, a marching band that spelled out his name, and surprise appearances from collaborators like Jermaine Dupri, Lil Jon, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, will.i.am, and H.E.R.
Usher further said, “I am very mindful of my past, celebrating my present, which is here in Las Vegas, and thinking about where we are headed in the future”. What songs do people know me for? What songs have been a celebration of my career? That was the idea.”

Well, he started with an extensive medley which had like 11 songs in total in it. Opening the show with a dance that too on the field with few acrobatic dancers. Singing one of his hits from 2004, “Caught Up” & then passed on to “U don’t have to call. He continued with his songs one by one like he sang “superstar” then along with his dance anthem, “Love is in the club” performing Moonwalk. It was all there, be it duet of “My Boo” with Alicia Keys, before moving into the ballad section of the performance, where he sang beloved tracks like “Confessions,” “Burn,” and “U Got It Bad.” Singer H.E.R., who has a song, “Risk It All,” with Usher that appears on his new album, Coming Home, performed a guitar solo during the performance of “Bad Girl,” while will.i.am showed up to sing “OMG.” Usher closed out his standout show with a rousing performance of “Yeah!” alongside long-time collaborators Ludacris and Lil Jon.

Talking about the guest performers, well his affiliations over the course of his long career made the way. The very first guest performer who joined was Alicia Keys who appeared on the stage in a sparkling all-red ensemble, playing a matching red grand piano and singing her 2003 song, “If I Ain’t Got You,”.
One of his long-time collaborators Jermaine Dupri also made a cameo and later H.E.R performed a guitar solo for “U Got It Bad” and “Bad Girl.”
Usher later doubled the Southern trouble with other references which including pole dancers in the background as a nod to the historic Atlanta strip-club scene along with an exciting moment of Usher rollerblading alongside a group of background dancers on skates doing tricks.

Usher was wearing white bejewelled suit from Dolce-Gabana when he started the performance however by the time he was singing “U got it bad” he went shirtless which was again delightful for many attendees at the super bowl arena & of course the audience at home.
