Ruby Franke Pleaded “Guilty”: Sentenced to prison in Utah ‘Child abuse’ case

A child abuse case from Utah, Well A mother whose harsh parenting advice made her a successful influencer on You-tube has recently been sentenced to four years in prison.

A 42, year old woman ‘Ruby Franke’ apologised in court after being found guilty. She has pleaded guilty before of starving and abusing her children. She was accompanied by her former business partner Jodi Hildebrandt, 54, who received somewhat similar sentence.

Ruby Franke is going to have 30 days at max to make an appeal to the decision.

In court, one of the prosecutor Eric Clarke stated, Franke’s children, aged nine and 11 at the time, lived in a “concentration camp-like setting” and called her a significant threat to the community. Ruby Franke did apologize keeping them away from food, water, beds to sleep and all form of digital experience. As it had become a regular practise. She apologised to her children and said: “I was so disoriented that I believed dark was light and right was wrong.”

A statement further was made by Ruby Franke, “I was made believe that world was an evil place, filled with cops who control, hospitals that injure, government agencies that brainwash, church leaders who lie and lust, husbands who refuse to protect and children who need abuse,”

The two women were arrested in back in the month of August 2023. Police further mentioned regarding their child, they save themselves by running to a neighbour’s house and asked for food and water.

Of course, after the arrests was done Ruby Franke YouTube career went for a toss.

Who is Ruby Franke?

Ruby Franke was a successful YouTube influencer. She gained fame from her YouTube channel. Franke had more than 2 million subscribers in her channel 8 Passengers, which she started back in the year of 2015.

Her videos were more like showcasing a typical suburban family’s home-schooling, cooking, eating and chatting together but suspicion was not that far. Back in the year 2020 one of her sons mentioned that he had been forced to sleep on a bean bag for seven months. Now that can’t be normal not for anyone.

Not much later some of her viewers combed through her archives & started pointing other disturbing methods such as threatening to chop the head off a toy stuffed animal or cancelling Christmas as a punishment.

Few petitions of asking to investigate attracted Utah’s Child protection agency. Even though nothing happened but channel’s popularity was tarnished. Eventually the channel was deleted in the year of 2022.

Franke also accused her children saying they were “evil and possessed” and needed to “repent”.Kevin Franke asked for the maximum sentence to be imposed and called the abuse suffered by his children “horrific and inhumane”.
