Michael Jackson Biopic Jaafar Jackson recreates uncle’s Jackson look
Jaafar Jackson who is known to be Michael’s nephew, recreates his look in his performance as Michael Jackson for the upcoming film “Michael” up for release on18thapril, 2025 as per the Lionsgate and Universal Pictures International.

This biopic will portray the ups & downs of Jackson’s iconic career as a global superstar. This biopic promises “a honest portrayal of the brilliant man who ruledpop music. Jaafar Jackson will be appearing as Michael Jackson in this upcoming movie “Michael.” Set to release in 2025.

Kevin Mazur, who took photographs of Jackson on set for the movie he said, “When I walked onto the set, It was a feeling of going back in time while I was walking into the stadium to shoot the tour. Watching Jaafar performance, All I could think was, ‘Wow, it is Michael.’ The way he looks and acts, his entirety, everything – It was like watching Michael Jackson all over again”. Further adding to his statement, he says, there are so many who dint had the chance, well here it is. To be able to see Michael perform live during his lifetime – this is how it was,”
“As one of the photographers who documented Michael over many years, Mazur captured rehearsals as he prepared to entertain the world with his ‘This Is It’ concerts. He is now also the first to photograph Jaafar Jackson in character as Michael,” according to a release from the studios.

In a statement with Variety, he further states that it was so incredible to watch Jaafar to bring Michael to life. The film will take on the musician’s life and career and will be produced by Graham King (Bohemian Rhapsody) and John Branco along with John McClain, who are the by the way co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate. Titled Michael, the forthcoming biopic will be directed by Fuqua.
