70 million users’ security numbers were found by AT&T on the “dark web.”

AT&T had found 70 million users’ security numbers on the dark web, and AT&T had started to inform millions of customers about the stolen personal data that had been recently discovered online.

According to the telecommunications giant 7.6 million current AT&T account holders and 65.4 million account holders, the information contained in the dataset as social security numbers that were revealed on Saturday, and maybe this is very informative to the people.

The company said that they were communicating with the account holders whose sensitive and personal information was compromised and they also said that it had already reset the passcodes of users, so they could not lose their further information.

The company also said that they don’t know that data originated from AT&T or one of its vendors, they said in their statement that the compromised data is from 2019 and it may be earlier and does not include financial information or call history which is fine to the people but it may include passcodes, social security numbers, it may include email, mailing addresses, phone numbers, and birth dates and that problematic.

But they had been hacked nearly two weeks ago, which looks similar to the data-breaking that came out in 2021 but that was not accepted by AT&T.

A cyber security researcher ‘Troy Hunter’ said ” If they assess this and make a wrong decision on it, and we have passed a couple of years without informing about the impact of them to customers then it possible that the company will have soon faced the lawsuits, Hunt said, for giving warning to them, an Australian-based website, an AT&T spokesperson didn’t immediately return a request for comment Saturday, when their personal information has exposed.

This is not the first crisis for the Dallas-based company in a year, if more crises had occurred then this very problematic thing. Thousands of U.S cellphone services were stopped by an outage in February and at that time AT&T had blamed technical coding error.

I hope that the personal data that have been exposed will be recovered as soon as possible. so, the trust of people has increased on the company.
